Mr. Gitterman needed professional-looking logos to place in his ads for local newspapers, circulars, flyers, and printed coupon catalogs at Siciliano’s A Taste of Italy. The main element of the logo is a combination logo of a mark and text. The typefaces used provided a Classical look juxtaposed with stability. The image invokes the idea of direction as if drifting along a white canal in Venice. A hand-painted mural adorns the restaurant’s wall as a token of remembrance to his father, who opened the restaurant in 1985. This mural inspired the iconic gondola logo.
